Defer to science?
As Prof. Bainbridge notes, given that we can't even make up our minds about whether salt is good or bad for us, it seems a bit arrogant that we claim to understand the long-term functioning of the planet.
I wonder what would have happened if New York's little salt ban had gone through. Perhaps a little less micromanagement from the top is in order?
